Mike is the face behind the camera at MKAPTURED. Mike is a multi-award-winning photographer based in London, who specialises in low-light, abstract and black & white photography – creating unique & creative ‘fine art’ styled images.

Mike has over 15 years of experience using Adobe Photoshop, gained during his freelance graphic design work for renowned music artists and record labels such as Warner Music and Atlantic Records. He began his photography journey at the start of 2021 and in a relatively short time he has won dozens of awards for his photography. 

He prides himself in his attention to detail, the use of natural light in real-world situations, and crafting distinctive, eye-catching images with his trademark editing style. He is very versatile and can capture many different types of photography, including creative portraits, architecture & travel, automotive and product photography.

Since January 2021, Mike has amassed over 140,000+ followers on his Instagram platform (@mkaptured.uk) and worked in collaboration with many international brands such as Adobe, ASUS, Snapdragon, Manchester United, Xiaomi and many more. He has also been published in various magazine articles including AP Magazine and Image Maker.

In January 2024, Mike attended his second awards night hosted by The Society of Photographers, where he won Photographer of the Year in the “Open Avant Garde” category and also won 2nd place in the “Events” category.

His “Open Avant Garde’ entry went on to win Overall Photographer of The Year 2023, with the first unanimous decision amongst the judges in almost 20 years.
