Mike had incredible patience with me getting to grips with my camera again. He took me to some fantastic places around London to capture unusual perspectives and compositions. I particularly loved the slow shutter speed technique in the underground. He was a very knowledgeable photography teacher who I could ask anything- even twice!Thank you so much for re gaining some of my old confidence back.

I had one of the best photo workshop experiences with MIke! It was well planned out and quite enjoyable going to the various locations around London for different types of photography. I found Mine to be quite knowledgeable in the field of photography as well as extremely personable and fun to shoot with. I learned a lot in the one on one workshop and didn’t want it to end! I think as a result of taking the workshop my photography has definitely improved. I wouldn’t hesitate to take it again the next time I’m in London.

On January 15, 2026, I met up with Mike for a full day workshop around London. Honestly, this was one of the best photo walks and photo courses I have experienced. Despite the constant rain all-day long, Mike made the most of the weather conditions to demonstrate some epic photographic techniques. I will be looking to set up another workshop soon and would strongly recommend him to anyone.

What. A. Fantastic. Day!!!

Really well organised and well communicated in advance. Easy meet up venue. Really well thought out walking route to photogenic places which have clearly generated previous photo success for Mike and previous clients. Mike quickly got me into the mindset of spotting photo opportunities in reflections, side streets and shop windows without feeling self conscious about snapping away. Such a brilliant opportunity.

And what a great chap! So easy to get on with and spend the day chatting with about photography, dogs, life etc etc!!

HIGHLY recommended. I’ll definitely be back for another session next year.

My 1:1 workshop in London with Mike was a great experience, highly recommended!

Mike planned our route through London carefully and shared the plan with me beforehand in a PDF. I liked this part, knowing what I can expect and how to prepare myself.

He creates a relaxed space where it’s easy to focus, ask questions, and learn step by step. His explanations are clear, and he takes time to go through your photos and show what works and what can be better. His feedback and tips made a big difference, and the session had a good mix of learning, practice, and conversation.

I left with new ideas, more confidence, and a lot of respect for Mike’s calm and friendly way of teaching. Thank you Mike!

A group of four of us had the pleasure of Mike’s company on a street photography workshop last week. Mike’s communication in the lead up to the day was brilliant, with a whole plan sent over the night before detailing the meeting point, the route, and the types of photos we would be taking. He is very easy to talk to and incredibly knowledgable and helped us all set our cameras up with the preferred settings for the type of photography we were doing that day. He had also gone to the trouble of researching our cameras and lenses before he met us so he could advise us on the best ISO for each of our cameras (who knew it varied?!). We then had a very enjoyable 3 hours walking along the Southbank trying out different compositions and scenes, whilst also adapting to the weather and people around us so that we didn’t miss any great shots. I would thoroughly recommend a workshop with him, and will be booking a night photography/long exposure workshop in the near future.
