Join me as we explore the secrets behind creating stunning photography of urban landscape scenes, captivating long exposure shots, and dynamic street scenes in my immersive all-in-one photography workshop in London.

In my London photography workshop, we will cover Street, Landscape and/or Long Exposure photography. Whether you're a novice or an experienced photographer, this photography workshop offers expert guidance and hands-on practice to elevate your skills across three distinct and exciting genres around London.

• The full day workshop will consist of 6 / 6.5 hours shooting with a 30-60min break to stop and get food and recharge!

• Street (daytime), Landscape (golden hour / blue hour) & Long Exposure (low light / night-time) or a full day shooting street if you would prefer!

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?

In this photography workshop in London, you will learn…

  • Technical Skills:
    Master your camera settings for landscape, long exposure and street photography, including exposure, focus, and composition.
  • Creative Techniques:
    Discover how to use natural frames for your images, how to find and frame compelling street scenes, use light and shadow effectively, and tell stories through your photos.
  • Ethical Practices:
    Learn the dos and don’ts of street photography, including respecting privacy and engaging with your subjects.
  • Confidence: 
    Learn how to feel more confident when taking photos out on the streets.
WHAT'S INCLUDED?
In my full day (7hr) photography workshop in London, we will cover:
  • A personalised walk through some of London’s most photogenic areas. Covering landscape, long exposure and street photography.
  • A personalised route / plan to suit your preferences. No two workshops are ever the same!
  • A 30-60min break to stop and have something to eat.
WHAT DO YOU NEED?
  • Camera/Phone and lenses. (Wide angle is recommended for the Landscape and Long Exposure sections, and a prime lens is recommended for the Street section (35mm, 50mm & 85mm being the most popular)
  • A tripod for the long exposure and landscape images.
  • A charged camera battery, plus spares if you have them.
  • A bag and suitable footwear/clothing – Weather depending!
  • Preferably be able to travel via the tube to get around more quickly – although this is not essential.
PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP HIGHLIGHTS

A Masterclass in Creative Vision

Group street photography workshop

A group of four of us had the pleasure of Mike’s company on a street photography workshop last week. Mike’s communication in the lead up to the day was brilliant, with a whole plan sent over the night before detailing the meeting point, the route, and the types of photos we would be taking. He is very easy to talk to and incredibly knowledgable and helped us all set our cameras up with the preferred settings for the type of photography we were doing that day. He had also gone to the trouble of researching our cameras and lenses before he met us so he could advise us on the best ISO for each of our cameras (who knew it varied?!). We then had a very enjoyable 3 hours walking along the Southbank trying out different compositions and scenes, whilst also adapting to the weather and people around us so that we didn’t miss any great shots. I would thoroughly recommend a workshop with him, and will be booking a night photography/long exposure workshop in the near future.

Great fun evening and learned lots

I have an evening walking around London with Mike and learned a lot about how he photographs people up close and captures city scenes with movement and energy. I Had great fun and will be following up with another session soon.
